Objection Resolution
We find the cause of each DOB objection and get the corrected filing back in front of the plan examiner.
When you need it
When a DOB plan examiner has issued objections or disapproved your application. An objection is a notice that something in the filing does not yet meet the code or DOB's filing requirements, and the filing is not reviewed again until the applicant resubmits it. The permit cannot be issued until every objection is resolved.
Bring us in when there are several objections at once, when objections keep coming back, or when a review meeting with the examiner is coming up and you want the responses and documents ready for it.

What is a DOB objection?
An examiner's notice that something in your application does not yet meet the code or DOB's filing requirements. The filing shows the status Objections in DOB NOW and is not reviewed again until it is resubmitted.
How do I see objections in DOB NOW?
Open the job filing in DOB NOW: Build. When a plan examiner has issued objections, the filing's status changes to Objections and the list of items can be viewed on the filing. The applicant of record answers them by correcting the drawings and documents and resubmitting.
How do I supersede in DOB NOW?
To replace the applicant of record, the new applicant selects Supersede under Filing Action on the DOB NOW: Build job filings dashboard, and the owner signs the request. The filing goes on hold until DOB reviews it. A new contractor is added through a permit renewal with changes instead.
Can I disagree with an objection?
Yes. The applicant of record can ask for a second review of a specific objection in DOB NOW, which a senior examiner carries out. We help put the reasoning and code references together.
Can you help with a plan exam appointment?
Yes. We prepare for it with your architect or engineer, going through each objection and putting the responses and documents together before the meeting, and when needed we attend the appointment with them.
